Primary Causes of Clumping in Brown Date Sugar

High Natural Sugar & Fiber Content: Brown date sugar is made from 100% dehydrated whole dates. Dates are naturally rich in fructose, glucose, and dietary fiber, which make the fine particles highly hygroscopic (readily absorbing surrounding ambient moisture and sticking together under pressure or heat during international transit).

Absence of Anti-Caking Agents: To preserve a 100% pure, natural, and clean-label product, we do not add chemical flowing agents or anti-caking compounds (such as silicon dioxide or tricalcium phosphate).

Moisture & Temperature Fluctuations during Transit: While our packaging is hermetically sealed to block external atmospheric moisture, extended transit across varied climate zones—especially high heat and humidity during air/sea courier routes—causes the natural sugars inside the package to compact slightly.
